Previous Opened / Damaged Package
This would have been my second Certina watch. I bought the Certina, Mens, DS PH1000M Powermatice 80, Stainless Steel, Swiss Automatic, Watch, Black, Plastic, 20, (C0249071805100) and the packaging was new and the watch was beautiful. I really like the brand and the quality. I pulled the trigger to get the DS ACTION Diver 43mm, Titanium. The package arrived and I was excited to see my new watch. When I opened the shipping box it was obvious that the watch had been previously opened and quite possibly worn. The packaging / box has clear adhesive round pieces of tape. They had been removed away from the box and there was dirt / debris under the tape. I opened the box and it was obvious that this watch was not in brand new condition. The packaging had been pulled away from the watch and was somewhat dirty. On the bracelet there were scratches where the clasp area was. I am highly disappointed in the quality control of items that are shipped by Amazon and their associates. It’s hit or miss. You can have a very good purchase experience of you get an experience like mine. I called customer service and got someone in a foreign country that it took awhile for them to understand my issue. All I got was return the item and then have to wait for it to go through the return process to get credit for the return. This can take up to a month. In the meantime, I am in limbo waiting for my watch to make it’s way back to the vendor and to be processed and my card credited. These are very beautiful watches and they are quality. This has nothing to do with the brand and their quality. This is on the seller / supplier. This watch should have never been shipped as a new item to a customer.

Impressed
I have owned this timepiece for one month and I am definitely impressed with the quality and accuracy of the watch. As a watch collector, I’m pleased overall with this watch. This was a gamble purchase for me, and I’m certainly glad I did it. It’s a great looking watch and the picture does not do it justice!

Robust Titanium Diver’s Watch
Large titanium diver with a great movement, good value for the money. Much lighter than steel version and the ceramic bezel insert looks sharp. Watch is fairly thin for a 300 meter diver. Very pleased with accuracy- +3 seconds per day, 80 hour power reserve. Darker titanium case and bracelet with dark gold applied indices & bezel markings. Lume could be better. Own a Mido Ocean Star 200C Titanium as well which has the same movement. I find the Mido more comfortable to wear for long periods of time due its slightly smaller size.6.75” wrist (pictured).

Great addition to my collection. The titanium is light weight and it wears very well. Looks great and is a nice under the radar brand.

Totally Underrated
I went from a Tag Heuer aquaracer 300 to this watch. On comparison this is a better watch despite being about 1,200.00 cheaper. You really aren’t paying for a brand name here.The watch is a large watch at 43mm but it’s titanium construction really does make it wear like a smaller watch. . It isn’t any more intrusive on the wrist than a 38mm steel Tag Heuer.Overall great watch period. For the price, phenomenal.

Received 2 clearly open and used watches…
Watch is awesome, but DO NOT BUY IT FROM AMAZON. I received one that was clearly open, had marks from wear, and didn’t even work after winding. Had them do a replacement hoping it was a fluke but 2 days later, another clearly opened watch arrived. This one worked, but whoever returned it before me had clearly resized the bracelet and then put all the links back on one side before sending it back. Thankfully I didn’t meet any resistance with the exchange and returns.

Certina is a sleeper brand in the USA…But the watch quality is up there with brands like Tag Heuer. You won’t beat the quality at this price. Just buy it, you won’t regret it.
