How to Check If Your AGT-2309 Is Functional:
1. Cigarette Smoke Test:
Place the ventilation holes of the product close to cigarette smoke and close enough to avoid gas diffusion.
2. Sealed Container Test:
– Burn paper or material completely in a sealed container to create a low-oxygen environment.
– Place the ventilation holes of the product close to the container immediately after burning to detect CO.
Attetion:
– Ensure preheated in air free of CO.
– External factors like ventilation or air currents may dilute CO, affecting detection accuracy.

Very sensitive which is a good thing. I also like that it’s compact making it ideal for running a heater in a tent when camping in cooler weather. You need to hold down the power button for five seconds to power it on and off, which is a nice feature.

Used to make sure my gas heat wasn’t leaking any CO into the home. Worked great for my limited needs. Don’t plan to use for travel, but maybe that will change. Very easy to use.

Accurate when side by side expensive MSA Altair
Works great so far. Same readings and as responsive as the uber-expensive MSA Altair gas meter I use professionally. I keep this little inexpensive AGT-2309 on my person to quickly scout isolated spaces with CO related emergency calls when somebody else on my crew is using our MSA Altair gas monitor. Just a couple days after receiving the AGT-2309, we responded to a report of a CO detector activation in a private residence. Immediately upon entering the foyer of the home, the MSA Altair instantly reported 80ppm as well as this little inexpensive AGT-2309. Metering the entire residence, the AGT-2309 was within 2-3 ppm of the expensive professional MSA Altair gas monitor.

It’s a good start to check CO carbon monoxide from combustion. Not useful for CO2 carbon dioxide from human respiration.

Works as far as I can tell. I take it with me camping now.
Though I have not used it yet, I now have a wood stove for my larger tent. I wanted a portable carbon monoxide detector for a while now just for piece of mind. Especially now that I plan on using a wood stove inside the tent this winter. I have given it simple test by putting it into the smoke near a fire and the readings do change and go off with light and beeping. So, I am confident it is working. Again for an added level of safety and piece of mine. Simple and straight forward to use.

I have always wanted one of these! Twenty years ago, I worked at a manufacturing facility that made sensors for carbon monoxide detectors. We got letters all the time from people whose entire families were saved by a carbon monoxide detector, and I knew then, that I’d never live in a house with one.But here’s something scary that’s always stuck with me: the vast majority of hotels don’t have carbon monoxide detectors in them. WHAT. More than that, people often travel with things like propane. Scary when you think about it. I have been bringing a literal plug-in detector with me for years when I travel. Then I got this little buddy.It feels and looks super high-tech and expensive. Easily could fit in your pocket, handbag, camping bag, glove compartment, anywhere. Prop it up on your picnic table to make sure your propane isn’t leaking into your camping tent. Put it on your nightstand at your hotel or Airbnb. Bring it to the cabin with you. I feel so much safer having this with me when I travel. The battery lasts a long time and it recharges fast. Your spouse may roll their eyes at you like mine does, but I’m telling you: these things save lives.

Passed my improvised CO test with flying colors
I ordered this little carbon monoxide detector to check the air in my RV, because I sometimes wake up with headaches while camping. I was very reassured to get a carbon monoxide reading of 0 ppm in the RV – in fact, it seemed almost too good to be true. I searched the web to find a way to test this detector. The easiest solution: putting the device under a jar with a stick of burning incense. And in just a few seconds, the CO level started climbing rapidly. When it hit 50, the alarm went off.Details: the monitor has a color screen and is extremely easy to use — just hold the “on” button down until it lights up. You can change the settings (the default is for the alarm to go off at 50 ppm of CO). The booklet explains the CO standards. It’s very lightweight and holds its charge for a long time. It comes well-packaged, with a lanyard, and a well-done user manual. This is a great choice for travel or a gift for your friends or kids.Also, I am re-thinking my use of incense!

This is a very good monitor that has a way more sensitive sensor than others that I have tried.Just a slight wiff of co behind a running vehicle I was walking past set off the alarm.I was also surprised to be able to adjust the alarm activation setting to below what other meters I have tried to alarm at a much lower threshold (20ppm).The kick stand is a handy feature for the bench.Easy to read display, easy to operate menu, top notch gear for the job site.

Operation is simple, you just turn it on and it instantly starts reading the background CO levels in real time. You can set the alarm level via a simple on screen menu. The device offers a combination of both sound and light warnings to ensure you won’t miss an alert. Charging is straightforward and the battery life is good also.We frequently go on caravan breaks and this device will now be a permanent feature on those breaks for added peace of mind. Avendo già acquistato il rilevatore AEG test. per radon di cui sono ampiamente soddisfatto ho deciso di acquistare anche la versione per monossido di carbonio. E’ molto utile avere in casa o in generali in ambienti chiusi un simile dispositivo, in quanto il monossido di carbonio è un nemico invisibile e pericolosissimo. Un prodotto del genere può essere un salvavita. Il rilevatore giunge in una confezione ben fatta e compatta. E’ molto gradevole esteticamente, con laccetto in dotazione, display ben leggibile, con allarme sonoro e soprattutto essendo a batteria è portatile ed utilizzabile ovunque. La batteria ricaricabile tramite usb-c, con un cavo in dotazione di qualità , garantisce sino a 15 giorni di rilevamento e si possono impostare le soglie di allarme da 25 ppm a salire. Il range di misurazione va da 0 a 1000 ppm. Viene testato e calibrato in fabbrica con certificazioni di laboratorio anche se non specificate. Viene anche indicata una modalità empirica di test di funzionamento con sigarette o tramite un contenitore chiuso.
