Customers say
Customers find the headset provides clear sound that co-workers can hear loud and clear, and works well with laptops and iPads. They appreciate its comfort, value for money, and suitability for home office use. The noise cancellation feature receives mixed feedback – while some praise its effectiveness, others report it’s not noise canceling at all. Durability is also mixed, with some finding it lasting while others report it doesn’t last more than a year.

They won’t hear your dog barking or your kids screaming…
I’m a headset designer of headsets for pilots and this headset passes my boom mic noise rejection standards.Because of my expertise in the area, my friends are always asking me what headset they should get for virtual meetings. This headset is always my recommendation. It’s reliable and high performance for it’s intended use. Zoom/Teams calls for professionals. And probably call centers too :(It is not noise canceling for the users ears! You will hear your dog barking but your customers won’t, so if you need to knock down environmental sounds so you can hear, this is not that solution. This headset is great to make how you sound less noisy to others on the call! Example: A co-worker works from home and so does his wife in the same room. You could hear his wife on calls when he talked, until he got this headset after I sent him a note. Problem solved for both of them, or at least I never can tell anymore! What imakes this a great product is reliability and an excellent noise canceling boom mic. The type of microphone that rejects sounds coming from a distance, but is very sensitive to sound sources that are close (i.e. your mouth)Comfort note, almost any headset that is touching your pinna (ear) will become noticeable after an hour or so, but just removing it for a short time really helps. I often forget to take it off after a call. There are more expensive solutions, but the quality of the noise canceling boom mic makes this a winner and it is very affordable at under $50.Beware that not all boom mics are great at noise reduction and just saying noise reduction doesn’t always mean they work well. This one is. devil is in the details! It will best any non-boom headset period, ignore marketing claims in terms of noise reduction IMO. Even the $400 dollar boom-less ones!I’ve designed them for pilots and know it’s easy to screw up boom mics noise canceling performance but they didn’t.Also, having made products with a lifetime warranty, I get frustrated at wires breaking at the first or second tug and sending it to landfills. I can say that using this product for over a year now, pretty much daily for work, it is holding up very well, like new, and Plantronics understands cord reliability issues and how to make them last.Highly recommended for Zoom/Teams calls, but mono, so get a stereo Plantronics headset version for >2x the price if you care.Portland Mike

Great noise cancellation!
I’ve been using this product for over 2 years for work. What I like most is that the padding is consistently comfortable on my ears. I usually work long hours so comfortability was important when looking for a headset. The clarity in sound, the durability and Fit are all perfect. My only concern would be the chord gets a little tangled sometimes but an easy fix when unraveling. I would definitely buy these for work every time!

Works like a charm!
I bought this headset to use when I telework from home 2-3 days per week. The nature of my job requires multiple daily calls lasting anywhere from 1-2 hours. Although my laptop has the ability to act as my phone, I’ve found using the speaker phone function isn’t really conducive for my purposes as it picks up all surrounding sounds. Using a headset with a noise cancelling microphone works best for me and the individuals I speak with for clarity and leaves my hands free to take notes as necessary. At work, over the past 2+ years I’ve been using the CS520 wireless Plantronics binaural headset and have been very happy with its performance. As this purchase was an out of pocket expense and I didn’t want to invest a lot of money, I first tried a Cisco headset and wasn’t happy at all with the quality of the sound and non existent noise cancelling mic. Don’t know why I didn’t just order the Plantronics headset first. This headset is perfect. Plugged it into my docking station and with a few sound adjustments it works beautifully. The microphone cancels out the background noise, provides quality sound, slight movements of the cord doesn’t create any static or interference, and the controls are right on the cord and simple to use. When not using this headset for work I plug it into my desktop tower and get stereo quality sound if i want to listen to music while surfing the net.Overall great product, I would definitely buy again👍

Perfect!
I’ve had this headset for 9 months now after going through countless headsets and headphones. I use this headset 8+ hours a day, 5 days a week answering 30 to 50 calls a day. These are amazing sound quality! The people I talk to can clearly hear me and I can hear them. I love that when you speak it amplifies your voice and you can also hear what’s going on around you. I tried the gaming headphones but I couldn’t hear myself talk and hated it. I use the volume buttons all the time and they’re easy to press and work great. I can’t recommend these enough. I’m definitely buying another set in case I need it in the future but I’m so glad I found these. They’re mostly comfortable too. I find that by late Friday my ears might be a bit sore but not bad. Overall a great purchase!

I’ve tried many direct-connect USB headsets over the years, and have been putting a couple of them into overdrive use with COVID-19 work-from-home. Many computers/laptops have poor built-in audio processing, and the internal microphone or even headsets plugged directly into a 3.5mm headphone jack. I Previously had another Plantronics headset that while comfortable and good audio, the microphone had a lot of ‘hiss’ and would pick up the sound from the speakers which the person on the other side of a call or online conference would hear as echo. The foam pads and little side-pressure are key features for me as you can wear them for many hours straight without your ears getting sweaty, or sore. The foam also doesn’t completely block out sound from the outside world, so you don’t feel like you’re in a vaccum when you put them on.Highly recommend these – and at the $50-$60 range in Canadian dollars, its fantastic value compared to many other options!
