Get this flight kit! It’s a good price for what you get
I got this kit for my ground school class. What I was surprised about is that it came with more things than I expected! And at a good price! E6B, plotter and other things. The quality seems nice. I could also put these into my book bag and not worry if they would bend or anything. We used most of the items in the box for class, but not everything. The E6-B is different than what we used in class, but it is actually better probably to learn how to use what you have. So the other one in class had like a blue ring around part of it on the front instead of just all gray like this one.Once you go through the directions written on the E6B, then you’ll understand a lot better. Give yourself time. And if you still don’t understand how to use it, ask your professor or the tutor to show you how to make the calculations. Once you learn how to do that, I think you’ll be able to use the E6B quite well.I think you will be happy with this flight kit. It came with more than I expected. At a better price.

Great Product for VFR Pilots
Amazing VFR kit, love the pad to write down all the frequencies. For New pilots this is amazing as it has everything you need to get before departure, landing and makes it easy to organize your atis /awos. Flight computer and plotter great quality, and the knee board is very sturdy and is full of quick references!

Good kit for primary training
Board held securely to knee; E6b seems to have everything an aspiring pilot would want to know how to use before switching to an ipad.

A solid kit for most new pilots, as long as your computing gear doesn’t need to be hard-use.
I was pleasantly surprised by this kit. Although I’m near the end of flight school with my Private/Instrument/Commercial certs done and CFI in progress, I got this with a view to a brand-new pilot just starting out their training path. In that context, I think it’s a solid option for an aviation newcomer. The kneeboard and writing pads are good to go, the plotter seems solid, and the E6B isn’t bad. That said, the E6B is my only slight downgrade point. My original ASA E6B is the standard tough metal construction that most pilots use, and it’s stood up to a good amount of use with many trips in a flight bag. This one is not metal, it’s a flexible plastic material which gives me a little bit of concern over its durability. It wouldn’t stand up to the same level of travel and abuse that the hard-plate ASA version does. It’s also not the easiest to turn the wheel on it – a little bit of surface texturing to help move it along would be nice.Especially if you can grab it on sale or with a coupon to bring it down from the full price of $65 to more like $40-50ish, I think that’d be the sweet spot for this setup in terms of pricing. Or if the E6B was a bit sturdier, it would more easily justify the full price in my opinion. It comes down to your anticipated usage. If your E6B and plotter can stay at home and just be used for flight planning on your table or desk, this plastic one should do just fine. If you need it to be hauled around in your flight bag, tossed into the back seat of your Cessna 172 or Piper PA-28, pulled out in flight, etc., then it may be worth springing for a different and more durable flight computer. Those points aside, it still generally works well, looks nice, and I think overall the package is a decent value for money with good products. I also think the EntireFlight brand as a whole is interesting, and I hope they continue to expand into new/improved and cost-effective aviation product offerings.

Great to Have For any VFR Pilot/Flight Simmer
I acquired this kit when I decided to reset my flightbag. I like how everything (aside from the plotter) is a slightly smaller form factor in comparison to the hodge-podge of items I used to carry. The VFR pads are a MUST, as they allow you to plan ahead of time, as well as take notes in flight. The kneeboard is extremely durable, and I personally enjoy its elastic strap as it doesn’t requiring sizing in order to fit properly. The E6B is good, but I personally use an online computer. Nevertheless it is still a solid backup.

Great package.
After using this kneeboard kit for a bit, I’ve got a pretty good feel for it. The package contains kneeboard, E6B, plotter, and a generous stack of four planning notepads. The kneeboard itself feels well-made. The Velcro strap is secure and comfortable on my leg, and the size is just right – not too bulky but still provides a good writing surface. The pre-printed references on the board, like V-speed reminders and basic airspace info, are handy for quick checks. The E6B in this kit is made of a sturdy plastic, and the markings are indeed crisp and easy to read, even the really small ones. The rotating dial moves smoothly. While I’ve used metal E6Bs in the past that feel virtually indestructible, this plastic one seems robust enough for regular use. For learning the fundamentals of flight calculations, it works perfectly. I’ve not compared it with the older E6B I have, but it seems accurate.I say this since another reviewer noted issues with accuracy. The sectional plotter is your standard, no-frills tool, but it feels durable enough for its purpose. It has clear markings, which is essential for accurate navigation on paper charts. What really stands out in this kit is the inclusion of four VFR flight planning notepads. The pre-printed layout is quite useful, with dedicated sections for ATIS, clearances, and flight log information. The paper quality is decent, and the tear-off design is convenient. For student pilots or anyone who likes to keep their flight planning organized on paper, these pads are a great addition.Price point seems very reasonable. This will make a great gift for someone who’s starting flight school.
