Customers say
Customers find the kneeboard to be of high quality, well-constructed, and appreciate its storage capacity with lots of pockets. Moreover, the clipboard contains a tremendous amount of information, and one customer notes that the clip and interior space work well for 4×6″ note pads. However, the size receives mixed feedback – while some find it decent, others say it’s too small for a sectional chart. Additionally, the sturdiness and storage capacity also get mixed reviews.

Works well, doesn’t take up a lot of space
Just what I wanted/needed. Some think it’s too small (a folded sectional sticks up out of the plastic “window” section) but you’d probably be flying out of range of that visible part fairly quickly and then have to keep pulling it out, re-folding, and re-inserting — not really helpful. Better to keep the sectional separate.Good value for the money, IMO.

Great Kneeboard
Excellent quality, and lots of pockets to keep papers and info tidy. Aluminum clipboard is sturdy. I use the see through pocket for a plan of the airport so I can check the taxi route. Much better than the loaner given out at the flying school. Not so big that it interferes with the yoke. I recommend.

I love this kneeboard!
I was skeptical about buying a kneeboard but this one is amazing! I am going to be a commercial aviation student at UND this year; this kneeboard was recommended to me by another student. It fits securely on my leg and I love the metal clipboard! I can’t speak to the durability as I have not had a chance to use it in the plane yet, but it seems to be well made.

Good value, works great
Originally ordered a kneeboard that was too long and was constantly bumping my yoke. Gave this one a shot and I really like it. It’s a good length, just can’t fit a sectional in it without leaving that last inch hanging out but honestly I don’t care. Putting the sectional behind the clip board works just fine for me. I only with that 1) the knee strap slits came pre-cut (you have to cut them yourself BUT they are at least stitched for the opening, just not actually cut open, similar to a new suit jacket) and 2) the pockets were a bit more rigid/taught. The fabric relaxes easily and the pockets seem to be “stretched out.” Again, not a big deal. Holds papers just fine while in flight and folded up.That all being said, I fly using iPads and I have a slim stylus I really like. The problem with this stylus is that it’s metal and slim and falls out of pretty much every pen holder out there. However, it has been staying put in this knee board so I’m really thankful for that. I also have a pen with a rubber grip but that one is really hard to get out of the pen holder while flying. All in all, I’d buy this again and definitely recommend. It’s not perfect, but it works great and is just right for me.

Good Basic Board.
Nice basic knee board. I’m a beginning pilot and it works fine for what I need. Pockets on each side for storage of checklist and small note book.

Meh…0
The Velcro strap is about 1/4” to narrow, doesn’t have rubber grippers on the inside, a the Velcro connection is on the bottom (underneath your leg) instead of the side.

ASA KNEEBOARD.
I was reluctant to buy this as some ratings were lower than I would like. So I went cheap and bought a used one. I figured if nothing else, if I needed an extra I would have one. The used kneeboard was so nice, I couldn’t tell it had been used at all. It is a bit smaller than I would like, but it works perfect for what I need. I practically stole it from amazon. In used condition, it’s worth twice the price, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

This is one of those items that allows you to be disciplined while being a student pilot. You can organize all the needed papers and maps along with pens so that you are prepared to take or refer notes while flying with your instructor. The kneeboard contains valuable information that allows a student pilot to fly in a responsible manner.
