Filter works
I did a teardown of this because there’s no markings regarding input and output. The female is the input/antenna side because the ESD protection components are on that side. But it probably filters without ESD protection if installed in reverse. If you have an amplifier it possibly has similar SAW filters already built-in.This filter doesn’t improve my reception, but in my setup it is installed to stop transmissions on a nearby VHF/UHF antenna from blowing out the front-end of my SDR. Quick testing with GQRX shows it silencing the FM broadcast band while not (significantly) impacting the 1090 signal, so I’m confident it’s doing its job.

Ultimately works well, despite my having not really needed it.
I suspected my signal could improve if I eliminated interference. As it turns out, interference was not really a factor after all, but this filter does indeed work.

Too much loss, but does help filter out VHF/UHF
Does filter well, just tooo much loss like the other reviewer experienced. Even when placed as close to antenna, actually performs better without this filter attached in the 1090 range. Waste of money in my opinion given results.

Great small size, not great performance
The insertion loss with this is more than my FA or other filters. Every test I’ve done with FA, RB and Airspy dongles from time to time shows poor results with this filter. The small size is great. Just sad it doesn’t perform as well as others.

As the title says, these really need to be in a metal enclosure to help dissipate the heat, and at least you’d be able to fit extra heat sink if required.

Niet zo bestEr waren enkele punten welke me niet bevielen, het plastieken doosje welk behoorlijk warm werd, geen merkbare aanwinst in contacten, eigenlijk is het best een goedkoop ogend product.

Pro’s Living in a city centre causes all sorts or reception issues. This little filter certainly helps with ADS-B at my location.Con’s :- Do bear in mind that if you already have good reception then a filter won’t make a huge difference.

Vous pouvez juger par vous meme …je me suis contenté de remplacer mon filtre 1090 précédent(https://www.amazon.fr/1090-MHz-Passe-bande-aéronautique-passante-Interface/dp/B07D3KRF7H/ref=sr_1_3?__mk_fr_FR=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&keywords=filtre+1090&qid=1583177556&sr=8-3) par celui ci …

Seems to be working alright, I see less bad reading so must be doing something.
