Great for online comedy sketches!
I got this set for doing some comedy videos online and I think it’s great for using a couple of times! If you wanted this to last for a few Halloween parties it might not be the best! But I think this was perfect for my comedy sketches and looked convincingly like an airline pilot captain!

Cute in the box… but barely wearable.
We got this pilot costume set as a fun dress-up prop for our 360 photo booth. I wasn’t expecting luxury quality or anything, but it’s even flimsier than I thought.• Hat: Arrived completely bent and misshapen. The fabric is that thin mesh you’d find under cheap upholstery — not structured at all. We tried reshaping it, but no luck. The snapback only stays snapped at one setting, so fit is hit or miss. Honestly, not wearable for more than a minute.• Sunglasses: These are barely even sunglasses. They’re so flimsy, they’ll likely break if more than one person tries them on — especially at an event where people are drinking or being playful.• Tie: Actually nice! Silky, lightweight, and comes with a stretchy elastic band that makes it easy to throw on.• Flight Pin + Airplane Necklace: Surprisingly solid. The pin feels substantial even though it’s plastic, and the necklace adds a nice little touch. These two were the best parts of the set.• Shoulder Epaulets: Glittery and fun. They stick on well and do what they’re supposed to.Bottom line:If this is a one-shot deal — like a $15 gag for a costume party or a quick Halloween look where you don’t care what happens to it — sure, go for it. But if you’re thinking this will hold up for more than one event, or actually look like a legit costume? Don’t bother. It’s a cheap novelty prop and that’s all it is.

Cheap and decent costume
If you just need something for a one-off gag (picking someone up from the airport, Halloween), it’s fine. Based on the price you probably know this is all the very cheapest materials, but, if you already have a button down shirt this can complete the look. The shoulder patches have no way attach to your shirt as far as I can see, you’d need to find a way to do that yourself.

Poor quality and lack of attention to detail
Very cheaply made. The embroidery on the hat is not centered to the bill. The fabric is super thin. The gold “band” is nothing more than gold paper. The glasses are cheap plastic and there is no way to attach the shoulder “patches”.For the price we paid, I am really disappointed in the lack of attention to detail (the centering of the logo on the hat especially).

Exactly what I was hoping for
Exactly what I was hoping for lol. My husband makes ridiculous real estate videos and this will definitely make an appearance. Did not feel cheap, but the hat took some “unfolding” to get it to a more normal shape.

Fine But Not Great
I like this kit, but the quality is very meh. The shoulder insignia has no way of being attached to anything, which seems weird. The hat is of meh quality. The sunglasses don’t work with other glasses, but that’s typical for aviators. The pins are nice and the tie is fun. It’s fine, but not great.

Very cheaply made, but great for a single-use costume.This accessory set will turn any suit into an instant pilot costume.The fabric of the hat is very flimsy, but also thin enough to be a little bit breathable.Great value for a last-minute costume, but if you want to re-wear your outfit, you may want to seek out a more expensive or sturdy hat at least.
