This heavyweight, hooded sweatshirt has a zip front for fast layering. It’s made of 13-ounce, 80-percent cotton / 20-percent polyester fabric and has a rain defender durable water-repellent finish. It is designed with spandex-reinforced rib-knit cuffs and waistband to keep the cold out. There’s an attached three-piece jersey-lined hood with draw cord, front hand-warmer pockets, and an antique-brass front zipper. The carat logo is embroidered on the front left pocket. Great quality
I love this jacket. Repels the rain and keeps me warm. I had to buy them as gifts once I got mine. Fits great not too tight or too loose even after washing.

Good quality
I never thought I would pay this much for a sweatshirt but this one is worth the money. Extra heavyweight and very warm. Fit is excellent. Runs a little big but that is good. I think Carhartt makes excellent products. I have many shirts and buy their products all the time. You get what you pay for. This sweatshirt costs twice as much as others but worth it.

great for fishing!
I bought this mainly for fishing on those cold 40 to 50 degree windy misty days, I layer up under it, and it is nice and warm and comfy. These run BIG So order a size smaller then you normally would, I take a Large, I bought a Medium and I can still layer up under it, The Loose Fit Is Correct! And I think is was well worth the money.

Great hoodie
I have a lot of hoodies but this is my new favorite. It’s thicker and warmer than most hoodies, well made. The elastic parts are thicker than most so I’d expect that to last a lot longer. So far the most rain it’s seen is a light sprinkle but the water didn’t soak in like it does most hoodies. My coworker who recommended this hoodie said it’s not waterproof but it will get you through a light rain or a little while in heavy rain. Thats good for me, i just need it to give me time to walk across a parking lot to my car. I’m a new fan of carhartt and so far everything I’ve gotten from the brand has been good qualityEdit – I’ve worn it in heavier rain now and it did really good, again not waterproof but more resistant than i expected.

Very great quality!! It runs a little large though, we ordered a large sized but definitely could’ve gotten away with a medium and still would’ve been roomy. Thick material and the zipper seems to be holding up well. We love Carhartt products. A little on the pricier side but we already knew that, with it being Carhartt. Nice sized hood. I would definitely buy another one, but maybe a size smaller! Only rated 4 stars for the size issue but again, would buy a second time.

Got a medium because the large in Carhartt products tends to be very big, even though I am 6’2 190lbs. Should have gotten the medium-tall however, overall a great sweater, it is heavy weight and will definitely keep you warm in colder weather. I use it as a layer while camping and it works great.
