Great enhancement to previous models
I have several previous models and they work great. The RH PRO is greatly enhanced with GPS locating, cloning and other added features. CHIRP, does now support the 5RH PRO, but Baofeng’s software works well if you select the 5RM PRO with GPS.These radios work well and give you 10 watts of power.

Nice Radios with GPS.
Nice radios that work well, no problem programming them with factory software. GPS works but no decimal after seconds so your fix can easily be about 100 feet off. Definitely not a Garmin. But in most cases that’s not a problem — just being nit picky. For the price you can’t beat it. Overall nice radios. A+

Another amazing radio from BAOFENG 5HR PRO.
The BAOFENG 5RH PRO is quite the bang for the buck. It has some fun features like seek that looks for other frequencies in the area and if anybody is using those frequencies or their static or anything, it was showing you the frequency and allow you to save it so if you had another ham radio operator and your asked what channel they’re on, you could just simply ask him to key in on his radio with your radio on seek, and then all you have to do is do the back programming to have that save it in your list of frequencies also has GPS and extras like receive only air channel and regular radio. The neat thing is with the radio you can have up to two lines of bands being monitored, and if one keys in the radio will turn off let you complete your conversation and then it goes right back to the radio. So if you’re on a walk or just sit out friends and you wanna have a little portable radio it has a great battery life. You can listen to tunes and talk to your friends on the ham radio all the items that were described in the ad or accurate. The shipping was on time and the packaging was well done. It had been put in another box with paper around it to cushion it and the original box in the center so it protected it during shipping. Menu the radio has GNSS, NOAA weather channels menu and the radio can be charged through the USB-C on the back of the radio. The radio also comes with the dust style charger. It feels well built came with a lot of accessories and the one that I purchased advertised two different in tennis and they were both very neatly packaged alongside the radios. It has a removable back clip also has an area for a loop handle. All the buttons are easy to read and the radio takes just a few moments to figure it out with the new menu system, being very straightforward and easy to navigate. In the end, I would highly recommend this to family friends and actually picked up one for myself and a couple of my friends as gifts because the radios are very well priced for what you get.

Powerful transmission, but poor reception. You can’t hear almost nothing.
I have this radios and I have to say that even my friend’s cheap, almost toy kid talkies bf-888s have much better reception than those crappy 5rm gps (and I have mine on squelch level 1). Those radios are totally deaf and only a very powerful signal can be heard on this radios. Medium power signals cant open the squelch to be heard.Unfortunately, the service menu to change the factory squelch levels is unaccesible via CPS software.¿Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

Will have to buy a programmer to unlock frequencies advertised.
These radios work really well and are a good deal BUT……. The features and frequencies advertised are locked out of from the factory (refer to picture). You can’t scan through other frequencies and save to channels (except the ranges in the picture). You can’t manually input a frequency and save it unless you unlock it all with a programmer which is not Chirp (free). You will have to find and buy this particular programmer for $25. These almost got returned. If you’re willing to do this, by all means get them. If not then I wouldn’t recommend. 2 stars for semi false advertising.

decent but frustrating
Solid for the price with decent GPS and 10 W power, but programming is often a headache and doesn’t always work with CHIRP. GPS accuracy can be spotty or fail entirely, and range performance varies. A fair value for casual use, but frustrating if you expect easy setup or pro level reliability
