A+ amazing HT
This is the best HT radio I’ve ever purchased. Super easy to program using the Bluetooth programming from your phone. Long battery life, and a robust unit. I spend hundreds of dollars on the name brand when this does the exact same thing.

Solid Radios feels like a APX with out the weight
These are really cool, multi band, used on 3 different bands and various local repeaters, also picked up aviation traffic, I like the zones, and the frequency find feature, I did wish you could load your own start up graphic like you can on the DR32 model. I like the size and feel of the radio and its full of capabilities.

Pretty nice radio for the price, but……
Very nice radio for the price. Had some bugs in the bluetooth programming with channel names. Sound on both RX and TX is good and comparable to more expensive radios. Battery life is exceptional. Programming from the keyboard is easy. The included holster is ok but I would rather it be a plastic style with a belt clip like the original Motorola it is trying to copy. The size of the radio is great if you like bigger radios and makes the functionality of the buttons easier to utilize.I do get a buggy voice announcement from time to time when powering on the radio but i turned the voice off and no further issues in receive audio. For the price it is a good radio and looks very nice and not cheap looking. The power output is great on all of the different bands. One issue I find annoying is the volume on any speaker mic is not very loud. at full volume it is not loud enough for a moderately noisy environment. Driving at highway speeds and a window down with a speaker mic or external speaker it is not loud enough. I recommend this radio as long as you understand these quirks and limitations. I am thinking about a DM-32 but I really don’t have a need for DMR.

Great radio for solid communication
Only had it for a few days. But works really well for a radio in this price point. No complaints. Charges fast via the usb jack on the battery. Stick antenna performance is not to bad. Great transmit audio and receive audio is loud and full.

Not ready for Prime Time
I really wanted to like this radio but it has some big problems. I dont know if I got a dud or not. The radio locks up and will not do anything when i made a change to the squech control through the setting option. I also had issues while trying to set up the radio to display the channel name rather than the frequency in the munu settings. Straight up locked up. Cannot shut off or change any functions using the buttons. The only way to shut it off is removing the battery. This thing is getting shipped back tommorrow.

BOAFENG really outdid themselves with this upgrade. The first BOAFENG to actually feel like a quality and well built radio.

Could be a decent radio, but needs work
This Baofeng UV32 could be a decent radio, but needs work. I paid for this. Not a “Vine” freebie.The advertisement makes a lot of claims as to features and performance, however the radio (at least the one I received- factory new in the box wrapped in green plastic) did not come from the factory ready to “go”, as compared to other Baofeng radios.It states 1000 channels in 10 banks of 100. It came with ONLY O N E bank “programmed”, leaving you with only 100 memory channels. Baofeng also states it is manually programmable. It is PARTIALLY front panel programmable, unlike other Baofeng models where 95% of features are FPP. It does receive broadcast FM, however there is no way to store to memory any of the stations. It also receives AM civil aviation, in the VFO mode ONLY. The GPS works and is accurate enough, but I have radios by other manufacturers with better accuracy. Now for the WORST part… The Bluetooth programming app is absolute RUBBISH. I don’t have a PC so the Smartphone Bluetooth App was a major selling point. 1) I had to hunt for the app. It should have been linked on the advertisement and/or in the manual. 2) it took 3 attempts to get it to “read” the radio. 3) the App was not organized well/not at all intuitive 4) Once I was able to “open” /activate the other 9 banks and effect other programming, it took a few more attempts to “write” to the radio. Once it did, the radio FROZE which required removal of the battery to be able to operate it. A few more write attempts worked, but completely disabled the FM broadcast and rendered inoperable certain menu programming parameters, such as “scan”. Going back into the App didn’t work. Had to reset the entire radio. The battery security screw is not captured, so be careful not to lose it. Baofeng includes a screw driver which is too small and slips easily.Is the radio usable for my purposes as is ? Yes. I’ve only had one other radio with banks/zones, so that feature isn’t a deal breaker. Nor do I need 1000 memory channels. I can do what I need with 100. FM broadcast is sensitive and locks onto weaker stations. It does fit the hand & comfortable to hold. It’s a properly sized portable radio… like they used to be 20 years ago. Does it offer value compared to the cost ? Considering the “fails”, In my opinion, NO. Not for the price I paid. Baofeng DO BETTER !
