Chewy has the best customer service I’ve ever encountered!In a time where we all have dealt with “For ___ press one. I’m sorry, I’m afraid I didn’t get that. For ___ press one.” and outsourced representatives with whom “communication” is frustrating at best… guess what? Every time you call Chewy customer service — No Menus, No Options, AND a real, easy-to-understand representative answers the phone!!!!Once I had placed an order for a gigantic cat tower, and I needed to make a change but couldn’t do it online. When I called, the nice lady representative cancelled the first order and resubmitted a new order for the same item. I have many other great calls I could share – but the best thing happened recently when I went in and changed my pet profiles. Sadly a cat I had adopted became very ill after just 2 weeks with me, and the decision had to be made to let him move on to the bridge. Chewy’s website has a feature where instead of deleting your pet, you can keep them on your profile as a memorial. They must monitor for when that happens because two days later, there was a flower delivery from the folks at Chewy. It meant more than I ever thought it would, because I never got to really love that cat, nor had I actually grieved for him. When I got those flowers, I burst into tears and it was very cathartic.There are countless stories of how Chewy has done this sort of thing for pet owners, and while it’s easy to say oh they just do that so you’ll keep shopping there – I don’t think that’s true. I feel they are really a compassionate company that cares both for pets and their people in every way from grief to not having to press 9 options and scream into the phone to get a real person on the line 🙂
