Yummy chocolates in a pretty red tin!
I don’t celebrate Chinese New Year, but Valentine’s Day was coming, and I needed a gift for a chocolate-loving relative, so I went ahead and ordered this. The Chinese New Year greeting you see in the photo was a tear-off cardboard wrap-around, leaving the red and gold tin perfect for Valentine’s Day. It really made a nice presentation.Each chocolate is individually wrapped, with the name of the flavor printed on the wrapper. I’ve received boxes of individually wrapped chocolate before, and I much prefer it. It seems to keep the candy fresher and, of course, a bit more sanitary when you’re passing the box around. This very plentiful assortment includes something for everyone, with many flavors and textures represented. It’s a good mix of creamy, crunchy, nutty, and minty centers and not only dark and milk chocolate but a few white chocolate truffles included.All the chocolates were shared among the family. I tasted the white chocolate cookie crunch and the chocolate caramel – both were delicious. I love haystacks and chocolate pretzels as well but did not get to try those since the family started emptying the box pretty quickly. Everyone enjoyed them and gave positive comments on the look of the tin and the flavor of the candy.While I wouldn’t say it is the absolute best I’ve ever tasted, I think the taste and quality are pretty comparable to some of my favorites. We really enjoyed this box, and I would definitely consider gifting this assortment again on appropriate occasions.

Fantastic chocolates
This chocolate gift tin is thoughtfully put together and the individually wrapped chocolates taste great. The tin has small cardboard wrap around it that says “Happy Chinese New Year” with some graphics but once that is removed there is really nothing specific about the tin or the chocolates that celebrate the Chinese New Year. The outside box has a printed date that is about 9 months out and although I haven’t tried all of them, the ones I have tried taste fresh and rich in flavor. I especially like the peanut butter square and the sea salt caramel which definitely satisfy my sweet tooth. For some of the chocolates it is hard to read the print on the wrapper to know what flavor it is, I had to look at the listing for some to tell what is inside. Overall, this is a great quality chocolate gift tin that could be used for any occasion and I highly recommend it.

Great gift! Tin is awesome, chocolate is good, price is fair
Nice set! It comes in a wonderful tin which is really nice as a gift or out on the table for display, easily reusable for cookies or other things later. The chocolates themselves provide a surprising variety. The chocolate itself is of above-average quality and tastes pretty smooth and good, a little on the sugary side and less milky side. The fillings range from good to okay; with the haystacks being the best and the “smooth” chocolate being eh. The pecan ones are great too, and the white chocolate/milk just being okay enough to say it’s average. The overall different amount of chocolates is nice to offer.We used this at a small, impromptu dinner with family. We brought it out with tea and coffee for dessert and it was a hit. Our kids loved the chocolate pretzels in the middle. There are some left but we plan on using the tin for other things when we have finished the candy. Overall this was a nice surprise and a good assortment at a good quality and a fair price.

I’m a sucker for a tin. I love them for storage after their intended purpose. This one is beautiful. It’s a rich, shiny red with gold accents. It’s textured on the top. It is elegant.The middle ‘gold bar’ looking thing announcing it’s for Chinese New Year is a cardboard slip-on. You can choose to keep it or not, meaning this is a great gift for anniversaries or Valentine’s Day or birthdays, or even a thank you for teachers!Everything inside is labeled so there’s no guessing whether you’re getting a caramel or a coconut cream or something, and it comes with complete allergen info. TBH, I didn’t expect to be impressed by some chocolate but I am!We’ll be using the tin for games long after the chocolate is a memory. I’m a fan!
