Accurate, works well to notify of unsafe Carbon Monoxide levels.
Used this and tested it by enclosing the device under glass with a lit match. This unit work very well, I recommend this product to anyone with any concerns with Carbon Monoxide in older car or airplanes. The alarm is very loud and increases in loudness and frequency until the Carbon Monoxide falls back to safe levels. Thanks for the peace of mind this brings.

Great for light GA airplanes
I am a flying club member and instructor. Due to the many different airplanes I fly, I wanted one of these for those I get into which don’t have one built in. This turned out to be ideal. I’ve compared it to panel mounted ones and get the same readings.

Great but needs a bigger battery
Good carbon monoxide sensor. Seems to do the job nicely. Lost a star because the battery only lasts a few days before a recharge is needed. it’s easy to recharge though. USB C connector.

Great for ice fishing
This one saved me on an ice fishing trip where heater exhaust was freezing over

Work good still but not for outdoor adventures
After using this in my tent for the past few months as my main source of protection from my woodstove, causing carbon monoxide getting into my tent and letting me know when I need to open the vents, I brought it on my first hike yesterday and use the supplied carabiner and clip and now it won’t work anymore. I’m not sure what happened. I’m not here to ask for any refund. I’m just here to try to help them improve their design to be a little bit more rugged if people are bringing this on a hike to see what the temperature is at altitude

The ScoopThe GasDoc DS-100 is a portable carbon monoxide detector with additional features for measuring temperature and humidity. It offers a compact design, long battery life, and audible/visual alarms. My Overall SentimentThe GasDoc CO detector is an essential safety device for home and travel. It has a truly user friendly design which includes a clear display showing carbon monoxide, temperature, and humidity levels. The early warning system, with both audible and visual alarms triggered at 50 ppm CO levels, provides crucial protection against this colourless, tasteless, odourless gas that is non-irritating but a deadly, silent killer. Compact, easy to read detectors like the GasDoc, with versatile mounting options such as use of a lanyard and magnetic back, along with a long-lasting battery make them a no-brainer purchase and essential choice for travelling. The GasDoc has all of these features, and I highly recommend it.What I Liked- Accurate carbon monoxide detection with clear visual and audible alarms.- USB-C Li-ion rechargeable battery that seems to last a very long time between charges.- Long battery life, possibly far exceeding advertised expectations.- Compact and portable design with a convenient carrying lanyard with a secure clip hook.- Beautifully designed, built–in stand that’s very stable.- Magnetic back for attaching to metal surfaces.- Additional sensors for temperature and humidity monitoring.- High-quality build and easy-to-read colour display with no pointless animations.- Supplied in a carboard box that I can recycle.Advertiser’s Claims ExaminedCarbon Monoxide Detector – Temperature and Humidity: The device accurately measures all three parameters.Large Capacity Battery: The battery life might well exceed the advertised 140 hours by some margin. I’ve had the monitor running for 78 hours and the battery level states that the battery is full.Easy to Carry: The compact size, magnetic back and included lanyard make it highly portable and easy to mount.Audio-visual Alarm: The alarm system is effective and easy to understand. What You Get: All advertised items were included in the package.

The first unit we received was not showing the full digits for temperature and humidity, and the function button wouldn’t do anything else than just turn it on and off. Sent it back, and ordered a replacement. I am now reviewing this second unit. It’s a somewhat heavy, sturdy feeling little gadget. It weighs 106 grams (3.7 ounces) with the cord attached. Maybe a little bigger than I expected it to be, based on the pictures of the product. It works well, I’ve placed it next to a much more expensive plug-in CO/Humidity/Temperature sensor. The humidity was spot on, but the temperature was 2 degrees Celsius (about 3 degrees Fahrenheit) higher on the DS-100 than the plug-in one. While my plug-in one agrees with our thermostat and other temperature sensors we have, and I know for sure that it’s not 23 degrees Celsius in our home with the A/C running…Next was the testing of the carbon monoxide alarm. In a very non-scientific way, by placing the sensor with a small candle under a glass bowl, I was able to get it to sound the alarm. It was responding a little bit slow — the candle had burned out already (where the CO concentration would be at its highest) and that was where the counter started to go up. It took about a minute from the flame going out till the sounding of the alarm, and it took a total of two to three minutes for the sensor to come to the value of 99 ppm, which was the highest reading I got to in my test. Overall, and I am in no way a scientist in this field, I think this is a very impressive little unit, great for traveling, and priced very affordable (we paid 21 Canadian dollars incl tax, which is the equivalent of about 15 US dollars).I would have given it 4.5 stars because of the faulty unit we received at first, and temperature being off in the second one, but my options were limited to either 4 or 5. Since it’s mainly a carbon monoxide sensor and it performed well in my test, I felt it deserved more than 4 stars, so I landed on 5 🙂
