This heavy duty adapter converts A/C radio headset jacks (.026″ and .25″) to two and it can be used with any general aviation headset using PJ-068 and PJ-055B or equivalent plugs. Excellent for adding an additional headset position to the aircraft without the high cost of installing additional panel jacks or purchasing a new intercom system.

These work great. They may be a little long
These work great. They may be a little long, especially in most general aviation aircraft. I am able to use a 5th headset without difficulty. Both users on the same jack reportedly have no adverse hearing or speaking ability. I am able to hear both of them just fine. I believe some people may be worried a single jack may not have enough juice to power two headsets, but no problems in a 68 Piper Cherokee 180.

Headset sound is ok, mic can’t be used
The headset sound is ok, but the mic plug can’t be used. If both plugs from this connector are plugged into the panel, the interior sound is fine. The back passages can hear and be heard and everything seems normal. However, ATC can not hear transmissions. The mic plug from the extension has to be removed from the panel and the mic plug from the pilot’s headset has to be plugged into the panel in order to communicate with ATC. The back passengers can still hear everything thru their headset, but they can’t communicate or use the mic at all. I guess it works in the aspect that the rear passengers can at least hear what’s going on and if you’re using ANR headsets in the back, the noise reduction works…but if the rear passengers want to talk, they better get their yelling voice ready.

Dimensions are not for bot connections!
It seems to work OK, I wouldn’t get another. The dimensions given are for the overall length of one connection (36″), but the second connection is only 12″. I was hoping to use this to get my back seat passengers into my intercom, but it won’t work for that. I did use it to share a PTT for some flight training, and it worked fair for that.
