    Big money saver
Well it was buy one of these honies or a whole new headset when I switched from rotor to fixed wing flying and I really have no complaints. It does add some length to the cord which really isn’t a problem while sitting in the cockpit, but other than that it works exactly as advertised. In one aircraft the intercom was touchy about picking up my voice, but that was the only one out of seven that had any trouble.

Made well, but doesnt work well…..Electrical engineers weren’t consulted
This adapter does nothing to change the impedance of the circuits. I found that the headsets with ANR boxes USUALLY work, but sometimes not, and it depends on the aircraft. Hardwired headsets like the traditional David Clark or Astrocom haven’t worked for me at all on the three different C172s that I have tried to use them with. I purchased one of these to go with my Fightcom ANR headset that was issued when I worked on KC-135s. Yes I didn’t want to have to purchase another headset for GA lessons on Cessnas. For over $70 this little thing is WAY overpriced. Like I said, it just connects the circuits and does nothing to change the impedance. It is assembled well though. The ends are solid and appear to be made with quality parts. You will have to keep an eye on the headset plug end though, because the stubby headset plug likes to pop out with the slightest pull. The female end of this adapter doesn’t hold it in securely like you would see with other female receptacles. Tape.Like I said, it also depends on the avionics package of the aircraft and how it “likes” the circuit once your headset is plugged in. With one C172 aircraft, the adapter worked fine with my ANR headset but I had to turn the mic sensitivity all the way up. One of the G1000 aircraft wouldn’t accept it at all.Summary: if you have an expensive, issued ANR headset that you want to use, then roll the dice and see if this adapter will work for you. If you have a general set of DCs that you want to use, just because, then I would recommend just spending the extra $40 for a nice new headset or purchasing a used one for the price. I wish I would have done that in the first place and saved myself some headache.

    Not as advertised
The product I received does not do any conversion between high and low impedance as advertised. I have a Bose A20 ANR headset with the single military plug and a low impedance microphone. When this is used in a Seminole I can hear but not be heard and there is a high pitch tone for all on board. From my experience, I would assume you need a high impedance mic on your headset in order for this product to work. You can buy those separately, but that, along with this WAY overpriced adaptor will put you in range of a cheap beater headset. Will be returning.

Great for allowing me to use my Military David Clarks and Bose in my Cessna!
*****Update******* I have since bought another adapter to use for my Bose headset that I received from the military to use in my Cessna and it works perfectly! So I have now used these adapters for the David Clarks and the Bose with great results.I have good quality in transmitting and receiving and no issues or static. I would highly recommend this adapter to anyone who finds a need! This allow me to use my David Clarks that I had in the military to be used in my Cessna! I can hear clearly and able to transmit as well. There are no issues with static or problems with transmitting to others. Very pleased that I can use my headset from the military in my plane. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to do the same!

    Not what the doctor ordered
Bought to use with a DC H10-76xl the Mike works great but there is a persistent background whine/static from the speakers until PTT is pressed. Mic is clear and useable. I think this is hit and miss on either QA or compatibility based on other reviews. The Seller offered no support for the product and directed me to reach out to Faro. Faro continues to just respond that “they have contacted engineering” but had offered no solution. I’m getting ready to return this one since they send to be no support for it.Try it out it may work for you but you might just want to order as many adapter as you can find and just keep the one that works best.

Don’t BUY waste of money doesn’t work Bose a20
I though buying the better product that seemed promising was the was the way to go.. well I was Wrong..due to bad weather took me some time to go fly so when I got the chance to test the product it was outside the return window..The sound works but mic doesn’t I could of spent 25$ to figure that out..Don’t buy this if you’re trying to use your a20 helicopter headset on a fixed wing.. best option is to change the wire and mic from Bose.Seller didn’t want to work with me outside the 30 days

Does what you need it to do. Not perfect.
I am an airline pilot and bought this for my old military headset so I could use it as a spare. Good construction, seems durable. But there is a audible sidetone or whine in some of the planes I fly when the “hot mic” is on. Generally I just turn the “hot mic” off anyway and it works fun. It is not super noticeable but if you are on a long trip with an uptight dude or dudes, they might complain.
