APPEARANCE – You could call this a style-focused or design-led watch. It provides an appreciable fashion aesthetic, but with a practical value driver as opposed to the costly mechanical complexity associated with luxury horology. I wear mostly polo shirts and 42mm is right at the top of the range of what I prefer in that it stands out without looking oversized on my bare wrist. I’m finding that this watch best pairs with white and charcoal shirts. I tried to get some good photos of the watch but I’m no professional photographer so glare and lighting were fighting me. But I can say IRL it looks as it does in the product marketing.BAND – The band uses a spring bar and I’m so glad it was designed that way because I despise latch style bands. The spring tension minimal but there are triggers on both sides of the claps that both have to be pressed and so far I haven’t accidentally popped them loose so that’s nice.DRIVER – Based on observation the mecha-quartz driver statement appears to be true. I say this because the chronograph seconds hand displays multiple ticks per second movement, the reset behavior instantly snaps back to zero, and both the start/stop and reset pushers have a mechanically tactile feel. I’ve had it running for about 15 days now and it appears to have gained +4 or so seconds so far which is expected.MINOR ISSUE – One thing I did notice is the start/stop pusher did occasionally fail to register with the chronograph even when I could feel the click. My guess is there’s an actuation depth threshold that, depending on force, triggers whatever coupling produces the click but fails to engage the module. This is entirely mitigated by purposefully pressing the pusher.IN THE BOX – Packaging is minimal, and you could use it for storage, but I don’t personally find it ideal because its one of those “environmentally friendly” cartons. Three band links are included, no tooling is though so you’ll need to source that. No literature of any kind was included.

I have a hard time passing up a well-designed chronograph, and this FILIPPO LORETI Sport Pilot absolutely caught my attention. The blue dial paired with the two-tone silver and gold case and bracelet looks stunning in person—elegant without being flashy. It’s one of those watches that immediately elevates your look, especially for date nights or evenings out.The mecaquartz movement keeps excellent time and gives the chronograph a satisfying, precise feel. The 42mm case wears comfortably on the wrist, and the overall build quality feels solid and refined. Between the design, accuracy, and versatility, this is a beautiful timepiece that punches well above its weight in terms of style and value.
