    Great kit for makers!
I was very impressed with the packing and organization of the materials in the kit! Also the directions were amazingly well-written given that this is a Chinese company (no Chinglish). However, be aware that you need to 3D print the majority of the material required, so be ready to dive into slicing programs and potentially 3D CAD software (not for the faint of heart)! Also some of the material should be printed in something other than PLA (I used PETG) to withstand the potentially higher temperatures that can exist inside the enclosure without warping, so again you’ve got to be willing to hack a little if you’ve never printed in anything other than PLA. Nevertheless if you enjoy tinkering around you’ll have a blast installing this nice little kit! The link to their design to download and print requires almost 2 days of printing and nearly two spools of filament so I opted to go online, find a minimal version and tweak it by getting my toes wet with Autodesk Fusion in the process. The design I found from Design8Studio on printables.com prints in about a third the time and uses probably a third less plastic! Happy making!

Great kit to help you make your Flashforge 5M your own.
This kit really allowed me to make the printer my own. Instructions were fairly clear and there are lots of videos online showing how it goes together. Everything functions great with the parts I printed on the printer.

    Great upgrade to my printer.
My prints have improved since I added my enclosure. I did have some difficulty understanding how to print the parts I needed to print. I ended up using a minimal enclosure design.

    Good, But Some Flaws
Any issues are with the 3mf project or the stls.If you use the 3mf, some of the stls will be floating off the plate and must be aligned. This is tricky since there isn’t much border/margin area on the build plate. The alignment of the spool holder in relation to the runout sensor stinks. It can be tricky feeding filament. I found the diagonal cut must be on the top surface of the filament viewed as it goes into the sensor.A larger hole is needed on the riser for the input side tube on the sensor.Major compliment – the support and other settings for the pieces are the best I’ve seen. I’d say the flaws are all design issuies.

A redesign is only partially reflected in the instructions / files
As you buy it, this is a defective kit. This is primarily because they had a design change to the Adventurer 5M itself AFTER this kit was designed – that change made the enclosure significantly degrade the usability of the printer. The change in question: the filament sensor feed went from bi-directional to unidirectional, so in order to use it, the mounted sensor needs to be turned 180 deg from the original design. A change that significant should have triggered a redesign of this kit, but they simply issued a workaround. The workaround part in question: an updated filament arm [file] – they simply added a groove to route the sensor wire so it can actually reach the rotated sensor. But without it, its a showstopper. But, the workaround itself was ABYSMALLY implemented, so your chances of getting right the first time go down even further. All they had to do was update their instructions effectively (for the original change and what the solution is) and then update all of the files that you download to print most of this enclosure. Spoiler: they didn’t; some files contain ALL the parts you need to print, and in those files, the old, useless spool arm is included. When you download separate files for each part however, you’re in luck. And in case you didn’t already know – you have to print the vast majority of the hardware for this enclosure yourself (their margins on this must be incredible) – over a day’s worth of printing time, $20 of PLA and $10 of PETG TL;DR – the troubleshooting / research, your own time and materials, and the assembly re-work required to execute this thing just make it not worth it.

    Worth the labor
My printer…she’s so sexy now. So clean. I almost cancelled my order and got a regular cheap enclosure instead. But then I researched it and realized how superior this style is for ABS/ASA printing. I used the minimalist frame and had a blast assembling everything

    Excellent
Some of these other reviewers have no clue you’re supposed to 3d print the parts that aren’t in the kit, and I find that hilarious. It literally says it in the directions.Everything worked great.
