Not worth the trouble.
It didn’t work. I wasted an hour following directions and trying to troubleshoot……..Nothing. I’m returning it. I’m no longer going to deal with Flight Gear ever again. Don’t waste you money or your time. Nothing on the memory stick but corrupted files.

So far not working on laptop. To try gaming computer next.
Not sure what went wrong but it didn’t work. Associates say it doesn’t work on a gaming computer but we’ll try more video card and memory and seif we can get it to work. Advertisement is awesome with features as good as Ms Flight but install is tricky and confusing. Please try again. We really love it as a past time.

An excellent flight simulator
The FlightGear software GUI and user manuals are superbly done and I do appreciate that it must have taken lots of time by their team of experts to create this simulator. I am a real pilot with commercial and instrument ratings and also owned a real Cessna-150 for 10 years. This simulator is truly realistic. I first tried using a Windows-7 desktop with an 8 year old graphics card – all functions worked but with way too much time latency. My Windows-10 laptop was an order of magnitude faster processing and more fun. Read the user manuals first then have fun flying…

Not for Novices
My husband is not a pilot and he is not very patient with software – that said, I read the description and comments for every PC flight simulator software before I purchased this product. The MS 2020 flight sim is the one with all of the bells and whistles – so it should be a logical choice – but people are making money by selling books that only include instructions for installing the program – not a good sign – not my choice. My argument with the product that I did purchase is that the instructions make too many assumptions about the skills of the person using the program. Video games are rated – software like this flight sim should be rated for basic skills necessary to use the product. Instead – the advertising talks about the graphics – I need to know how to move the plane and I need information about the required hardware. I only paid $17 for the program – but the cost is irrelevant – I wanted my husband to enjoy the product.

Plenty of challenges for a pilot
I was looking for a cheap setup to polish some rusty skills. This is a quality simulator with very little cost investment. I added a Logitech Pro 3D joystick. Joystick setup was easy. Planes and environments are good enough.
