Finally, Practical Freedom in Luggage
I’ve owned a couple of Tumi pieces — one close to $1,000 and another around $800. Beautifully made, yes, but way too heavy and such a hassle to travel with. I babied them, always worried about scratches or dings, and in the end gave them away practically new. Warranty and all — what a waste. These days, the new me prefers luggage that’s practical, affordable, and completely worry-free. If it gets banged up, no remorse. That’s why this Kenneth Cole Rugged Roamer hits the sweet spot: durable, unbelievably lightweight, and it rolls like a dream. And the space inside? Incredible. Even without using the expansion, it’s amazingly deep and roomy — more than enough for long trips. Best part? No stress about treating it like a museum piece. It’s practical freedom — and I love it.Shopperly says: buy smart, travel lighter, live freer.

Wheel broken after few trips, unusable warranty replacement (exceeds checked luggage size limits)
I bought this suitcase in December 2022, and one of the wheels and the inner skeleton broke by January 2025, after about 2-4 trips. The third-party company that manages warranty issues sent a replacement months after saying they would. But the replacement suitcase was over the regular size limit set by airlines for checked luggage (62 linear inches). This makes the replacement suitcase unusable to me since the only time I need a large suitcase is when I fly and oversized luggage fees can be higher than the cost of the suitcase itself.I told the warranty company about this, offering that they could pick up the original replacement (I kept the box) and send a new one, but after weeks, they haven’t replied. When I saw I wasn’t getting a response, I contacted Kenneth Cole, but they haven’t replied either for weeks. Two of the big reasons why I decided to spend some more on this suitcase was because of the warranty and because its size allowed me to maximize what I can carry without exceeding airlines limits.I now have a broken suitcase and one that I can’t use and I’m not sure how longer I should wait for a response.

Good overall
I over-shop and over-analyze everything I buy, and ended up with this Kenneth Cole. The first thing you notice is the color. They couldn’t have found a more perfect blue for my tastes; it’s easily distinguishable among a forest of black luggage on a baggage carousel, and the color is dark enough to not show dirt.I found the bottom handle extremely useful, and it rolled anywhere including down the aisle of a 737 with ease. The pockets are thoughtfully sized and arranged, including the one inner pocket that is zippered soft plastic that would contain a liquid spill. I didn’t need to use the zippered expansion feature, but it would have gotten me a few more days of travel with clean clothes and still fit the overhead. I don’t fly as often as I road trip, but the fabric, handles (sewn into the bag fabric), wheels, telescoping handle, and zippers all seem well made and likely to last.First use was a road trip for two nights and I had more than enough room for everything I needed including my camera bag. Next trip it went in the plane’s overhead with no issues and held all the clothing and things needed for five days and nights out of state. Since then I’ve over-packed it, used it as a checked bag, and thrown it in the trunks of cars, proving its durability. Countless trips later I still find this bag holding up well and still meeting my needs. In retrospect I’d buy the same one again.

Good quality
This set survived a two week trip to and through Ghana (we moved to several hotels; my flights connected a couple of times). So, I was pleased with its durability. We’ll see how it continues to hold up.I still use a Kenneth Cole carry-on I’ve traveled with extensively for about seven years. But the PU leather on it is peeling and the zipper pull is broken; plus the mesh pocket inside ripped–not untravel-able just a little worn. Tells how well these keep.Anyway, I’ll be using the smaller one in this set to replace that one.In this set, the large suitcase does not glide easily and can twist your wrist if you’re not careful. They were both deep-ish and roomy and the color is great because while it doesn’t show stains easily it also isn’t the hard-to-pick-out-at-baggage-claim black.I got a great deal on this set through Amazon Warehouse and am very satisfied with it despite the rolling problem (which is why I give it four stars).

Very well made
I ordered three of these to take along on our cruise. They are very sturdy with plenty of room for everything we could possibly need. Handle extends to a good height for rolling. It’s wheels let you roll and any direction and is so smooth to move. Well worth the money!

Nice storage
Love the size and storage of the carry on bag with handles on the side and bottom for lifting up into the overhead bin. The zippers worked well. The bottom front pocket held a TSA bag of liquids. The expansion went all around the bottom of the bag which gave more room unlike one bag I bought that was only around the bottom area and another bag that had the expansion on the lid. It had 2 good size zippered pockets on the inside of the lid. The one thing I didn’t like was the pull up handle was wobbly and didn’t feel sturdy or lock in place easily. Wheels seems to roll nice on my tile floor but don’t like the feel of the handle being wobbly trying to steer it around. Time will tell how it does at the airport.

Very nice

The handle is very fragile and sticks. In fact, it did not extend fully and also stuck on the way down. I had to force it down to return it in closed position. Very poor quality! I initiated the return within 5 minutes of receiving it.

The trolley handle of the cabin luggage is of very poor quality, it doesn’t slides back and often gets stuck.
