This 2K system is awesome, works perfectly.
This system is phenomenal. Motion detection is fantastic and so is the discrimination between basic motion, cars, and people. I have the cameras set to record all motion but only notify on people. And here’s the good part, the push notifications to your phone work as they should. The 2K cameras have great video too. I went with the 2K system so I could use my existing wiring and reuse some of my old cameras. Works flawlessly. Two thumbs up!

This item is pretty straight forward, has very good video, the new ones have audio, we use this brand everywhere, on the farm, laundromat, rental space etc. I highly recommend this brand for the money!

This is our 2nd night owl system. Our 1st is still going strong it just won’t load enough cameras for what we need. Adding a wireless camera is a little but of a pain but not impossible even with going through a couple metal walls. Its a fair value for the system. The night vision works great as long as you dont have christmas lights or something hung right by them. The app notifications are fairly fast. The cables we had to be a little creative with to get them where we needed them, they could stand to have a few with a bit longer of a cable for a couple cameras.

Defective unit?
I purchased this unit for my elderly father’s house. He has limited mobility and wants to see/hear what is happening outside. I liked the idea of the voice feature because I thought he could communicate with delivery drivers and such without needing to get up. He said on the first night the system started squealing and “talking to the neighbors” on it’s own. The next day things seemed ok but following that the cameras went mostly into black and white mode. Each day there seemed to be a new camera moving from color to black and white. This rendered the camera useless as nothing could be seen. I restarted the system which would temporarily fix the issue for a few hours. I tried readjusting the cameras, moving them to a different location, using new/different splitters, new wires, and resetting the system. All with no lasting result.**On a good note I will say that the cameras looked fabulous at night with the amount of detail you can see.So after everything I reached out to the company directly for help but my return window was closing in fast. It was difficult to figure out how to reach the company and after several days of waiting they finally responded that I had reached out to the wrong department but gave no contact information for the right one. I would have liked to avoid it but decided to return the unit to Amazon.I’ve spent thousands of dollars though the years for my business and my family on night owl products and have mostly had a good experience. I can’t say if I received a defective unit or if the tech on these cameras need more work but overall this was not a good experience and I might advise looking elsewhere if you’re looking for a system with two way audio.

La conexión bien, pero las cámaras que están en el exterior y que les da el sol de frente se apagan durante algunas horas….para interiores todo bien.Para exterior hay usar otra camara.
