A great decal for beginners.
Such a great decal. The bright colors and having the lettered notes on the finger board are great for my farsightedness and astigmatism. It’s been a great help. I’m an adult learning how to play many decades after most people would start learning that this decal is a great help.I can’t tell if this affects the over all quality of the notes produced, or if it’s just my ability so far. The app I’ve been using to learn how to play doesn’t seem to pick up on a difference in any tonal qualities, so it must not be that much of a hindrance. If I had any suggestions for this decal, it would be that there would also be finger placements for notes along the whole length of the decal. That may not be possible due to the non-stick nature of this vinyl decal.Applying the decal can be a bit tricky, but the non-stick quality is pretty forgiving and will let you make several attempts to get it right. The decal will stick to itself, but it’s not meant to stick to the neck. It comes with a strip of tape to get you started, and suggests that the decal will stick to itself and stay in place, but it’s best to secure the second edge with a piece of tape too. Have this second piece cut and standing by BEFORE you start to apply the decal.

Good for what it is , if your a beginner then it’s ok, I had it on for 3 days and went back to the tape method.

Easier than electric tape
As described. There’s no adhesive; it sticks like plastic wrap. Very easy to install, but I didn’t find it very sturdy; it slides occasionally, which could be due to my installation. The color contrast isn’t as bright as I expected. Overall, it’s very functional and great for the price.

I’d rather put tapes on my violin than use this sadly..
This did not stick to the violin at all,it was a size too big and ended up getting crumpled as we fit it in the finger board, the description said the item will passively hold in place by wrapping around, but that did not happen and started loosening up and touching the strings as I was playing.

Best stickers ever!!!!
I got these for my daughter’s violin ( 1/4 size, and since ( under her influence) I also started to learn, another set for 4/4 violin. Not sure which size I am reviewing right now…. Either way… I was afraid that they would not stay on or that they would be sliding up and down, but that’s not the case. They correspond well with the actual note ( in our case the fingertip goes a little higher than the “letter”, so even when pressed, you can see what’s pressed).On my violin this probably will stay on FOREVER… but I absolutely LOVE that you can take it off, and put it back on… so that you can trynto play without and see how you do, and then just simply put it back on without asking someone else to do the tape for you ( again). And, of course, this comes off easy without leaving all the mess that the tape does. Not even going to comment on time savings.Just get this, there are so many other things to keep in mind when you are learning, make finding the right notes easy!

A MUST for beginners even if you play piano
If you are just starting out , get this! I play piano and read music so I thought I could catch on to violin pretty quick. Not so. You have to know EXACTLY where the notes are. I wasted a lot of time, should have bought this first. Also, I took a picture of it on my phone so I can study the notes when I am not able to play. Great item for beginners

I bought this to help me with my violin fingering positions, as I’m a beginner. Works well and easy to apply to my violin. It sticks well, without the sticky residue.

Product looks good! Didn’t find it though until dismantling box to recycle, was stuck under cardboard. Suggestion to pack in bigger package please.

I like that it doesn’t leave sticky residue on the violin, however the natural notes on either model could have been 3mm instead of 5 which would have made the product better.
