The NRS Oso PFD is a basic, medium profile life jacket for recreational kayakers and rafters with a ventilated, thin-back design for comfort with any type of seat.
This PFD is approved under the new certification system for PFDs. It’s dual certified, carrying both a US Coast Guard Approval through Underwriters Laboratories (UL), and a Transport Canada Approval through Underwriters Laboratories Canada (ULC).
The thin back construction distributes the PlushFit foam flotation more broadly to reduce bulk and improve the fit. Convenient front, zippered entry and six adjustment points for a customized fit.
Five-panel design conforms effortlessly to your body’s shape, following your movements as you paddle, row, fish or swim. Features two large zippered pockets for on-the-water essentials, 3M reflective accents, shoulder strap keepers and a hidden lash tab.
The XS/M is rated for users weighing at least 88 pounds and less than 132 pounds and having chest measurements of 30″-42″ (including apparel layers).
The L/XL and XL/XXL sizes are rated for users weighing over 90 pounds. Use the chest measurement ranges (including apparel layers) in the sizing chart for choosing your size.

Great flotation aid
Basic flotation, but good quality, fit, and styling all make this a superb purchase. I highly recommend this product.

Great PFD
I ordered this PFD because I needed one that worked with the back rest on my kayak. The back of the jacket is a little thinner and comes down low near your waist making ifit comfortably when sitting against the kayak back rest. It also looked very good – liked the colors.

Fit
I love the fit and roominess that this gives. It is very comfortable to wear. I often forget I have it on.

Not as described-Terrible Return Policy
This jacket does not fit as described by the size description or the functionality. Now I come to find out that I have to pay to return it and there is laundry list of reasons they may only return 50% of my purchase. If you are going to sell on Amazon, you need to offer a similarly easy return policy as Amazon. People expect that. We had to take it out of the plastic to try it on, then we packaged it right back up in the original plastic bag and box. Somehow I feel like the return policy is set up, by them and no one else, to allow them to still keep half of our money. We will see what happens and I will update if they make it right. I have no confidence ordering a $100 lifejacket from any seller who is not part of prime or from Amazon directly from here on. We have to be able to try items on without fear of losing $50 plus return shipping. This is a safety item, not a splurge on designer shoes for crying out loud.

Way too long of a fit
BEWARE!I’m a tall woman and bought an XS. But the body is so long, there is no way to shorten the shoulder straps enough to fit. The trunk is way too long for a comfortable fit. I’ll have to figure some way to cut it downEdit. Decided to return it.
