Good Size and Feature Set
Super handy – hard to believe I’ve been flying for decades without one. Even though avionics are automated to the point where frequency changes and chart details are quickly accessed, it was still comforting to know I had print copies accessible.I did cut and re-sew the velcro so it doesn’t obscure the content on the back of the board.

Simple, functional, recommended
I used this with my own vfr pad for my private pilot training before transitioning to my iPad for instrument. It’s a simple, functional device that holds your pen and allows quick easy access without having to worry about losing your notepad.I recommend getting some kind of string to attach your pen to the knee board. I couldn’t find my pen on multiple occasions and my instructor liked to tease me about it.

Beautifully basic
This is the simplest aviation clipboard, no frills, no extras, just a sheet of metal, an elastic band, and a clip. But that’s perfect for the use-case I needed it for. Not much to go wrong, and very slim and minimal. Keeps charts or a notepad in place without the bulk of some of the other options out there. It’s comfortable enough for wearing for multiple hours, the build seems as robust as you could need, and the size is perfect for a smaller cockpit. If you are looking for a simple aviation knee-board without anything you don’t need, this is it.

Depends on Your Expectations
It’s decent. Stiff. Includes a leg strap and a pad, with a pad and pen clip at the top. Useful details on the face, however the middle section is completely covered by the leg strap. (Other boards have a loop on either side to avoid the leg strap covering the face of the board. But for the money, you’re getting what you pay for.

Highly recommended
Highly recommended for student pilots. During a check ride, the DPE will not let you use an iPad or smartphone. There is a lot of useful VFR information on the knee board for both beginner and experienced pilots.
