We got this as a birthday gift for our son who is going through pilot training. He loves it! Easy to carry and holds everything he needs. The only thing I didn’t like, as a flyer myself, is the fact that it cannot fold up into a booklet. A minor issue and one that is probably personal.

Fits iPad mini 6 with adjustment
Thanks to the person who said this fits an iPad mini 6. It does fit, but the corner straps press into the power button and the volume button. As a result, I keep them offset to the left and right and it holds the iPad well without interfering with the buttons. There’s a spot on the backside where I keep an Apple pencil, though it’s not easily assessable and not sure what that slot is originally intended for. I disliked all the excessive branding so I cut off the tags. The aluminum clipboard comes with a strap, so it could be used on one leg with the iPad on the other, though the strap is a little short and may not fit people with larger quads. I feel that there is a lot of velcro that’ll probably come undone the more I use this, but could be fixed with a needle and thread. It feels like cheaply made material for something over $50, but I couldn’t find much better for less so I’m hoping this’ll do the job for a kneeboard.

Quality – not all there
At time of unboxing -1) Clipboard had scuff/scratch marks on it, fresh out of the box – as if they packed it with no care…2) Fabric stiches are single stitch, which assures me the longevity of this product is limited. Double stitch is such a minimal addition… shows the lack of care for their product.3) Fabric is frayed in many places – which further affirms the product is not of quality or of care by the producer/provider.4) Smaller item than anticipated (picture had me believe it was a bit larger) I should have payed closer attention to the sizing.the video sample, demonstrates its “ease of use” however, on delivery, my product was not positioned in the same reference as the videos product, so maybe whoever assembles these is confused greatly…Overall I am extremely dissatisfied with this product.There are many other products like this on amazon, at much better pricing. I’d rather save 20$ and buy a cheaper version, because then I’d know what I’m paying for. However, this product was priced higher than its competitors, and is a clear over price for the poor quality.I’d return this product, but I’m not interested in paying shipping fees to further sour my taste from this experience. So I’m writing a review to help other buyers avoid my mistake.

This looks like the perfect product . . . but . . .
. . . I honestly have no idea how this thing is intended to be used. It is supposed to operate as an iPad holder, and a clipboard, and also hold 7-ring binder inserts for airport info, etc. Major problems/Discoveries are as follows.1) If you put anything in it, it can’t close. Kinda defeats the purpose if you can’t close this thing. You would literally have to remove your iPad every time you stowed it. Which seems pretty stupid to me. You notepad and binder sheets just flap around and get messed up. World’s least convenient kneeboard.2) You can’t really use it to hold both an iPad and a 4×8 notepad. It seems like the notepad is supposed to go behind iPad, except when they are both in there, the paper and clipboard have no place to live. It’s this was designed by an AI that learned everything it knows about kneeboards by looking at features of kneeboards, and jumbled them all together, but doesn’t understand that a kneeboard should actually close, and that we don’t want to take everything out of it and put it back in for every flight.3) They have 7 ring binder grommets for page holders where you can print airport info, or whatever checklists or notes you want to keep handy. But again, because it can’t close, those will get quickly destroyed4) There are like three times as many velcro straps as you seem to need. There is a clear plastic strap that goes across the iPad, which already has a velcro closure, thjat just gets in the way. And another velcro tab at the bottom which doesn’t seem to be there for any particular purpose.This might have been a good product, if it had been executed correctly, but instead it looks like it was designed by somebody who has never flown a plane, or has no idea how things are actually supposed to fit, but just crammed in a bunch of features.I posted a video review so people could see what I am talking about. Maybe I am missing something here. but I can’t seem to figure out a way to make this thing remotely workable, without reducing it to just a kne iPad holder, and eliminating the binder rings and clipboard entirely.

Fits iPad Mini 6 2021 model
I really needed a kneeboard for my cross country flights. Although this one says it is for iPad mini 2&3, it really fits any iPad mini. This kneeboard has elastic straps that move in any position, so any iPad fits perfectly secured! Highly recommend this if you are looking for a kneeboard for your iPad mini! Fit my new 6th gen iPad mini perfectly!

I’ve been looking for a good knee board for a long time. This one works great with the iPad Mini, but for me more importantly so, also with e.g. the Huawei Mediapad M5. The tablet holder construction is flexible enough to support small variations in tablet size and still offers a good fit.Can be used for the same flight as a paper knee board too. Lots of small pockets also to store pens or small items. Good quality. Used for close to a year now and can definitely recommend.

Would be nice if clip board attached to the iPad cover without having to gorilla glue it, and iPad cover wrinkled up like a prune in about 15 mins once leaving on the dash in-between flight, and im in northern Canada, not exactly like leaving it out in Florida or something.

Unfortunately, the item is poorly made as the Velcro on the strap that goes under the leg is sewn on the wrong side so it doesn’t fix. You have to twist the strap (which is uncomfortable- and for the price of this item, should not be necessary) in order for the knee board to be secure. Reading through some of the other reviews, it appears this is a common problem.
